Sydney Business Park Stage 2 is a significant planning proposal to expand the existing industrial and logistics precinct at Sydney Business Park. The planning proposal was placed on public exhibition from April to May 2026, seeking to rezone additional land for employment uses.
The expansion would build on the success of Stage 1, which already hosts IKEA, Costco, Bunnings Warehouse, and many other major retailers and industrial users. Stage 2 aims to: - Create additional employment land for logistics and warehousing - Provide for light industrial and manufacturing uses - Introduce additional retail and service uses to support workers - Enhance the road network to improve access
The site's location near the North West Rail Link and Richmond Road makes it strategically important for Sydney's western employment lands. The development is expected to generate thousands of permanent jobs when fully developed.
